DESCRIPTION:PORTAGE COUNTY SOAP BOX 2025 LOCAL – CANCELLED\nDUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES\, THE 2025 LOCAL IS CANCELLED THIS YEAR. ALL THOSE WHO WERE PLANNING ON PARTICIPATING WILL NEED TO PARICIPATE IN A SECONDARY LOCAL. WE AIM TO BE BACK UP AND RUNNING IN 2026. \n  \nWelcome both New and Veteran families! \nPlease Note: This year we will only be racing in two core divisions – Stock and Super Stock along with SuperKids.  For those racers who would be interested in racing in the Masters division\, please contact either the All-American for the closest local or one of our board members who can possibly assist you to direct you to the closest local hosting a Masters field (do not wait as the other locals will hold their locals at dates earlier than Portage). \nOn June 14\, 2025\, on East High Street\, Mantua\, OH we will be holding our Local Race.  If you are in need of a car\, we do have cars which we can lend out so please contact us as early as possible as the numbers may be limited. \nDuring the week up to our local there are some important dates: \nTuesday\, June 10\, 2025\, from 4:30 – 7:00 PM: all Stock and cars should report to Buchert Park for Inspection and Impound. \nThursday\, June 12\, 2025\, From 4:30-7:00 PM: all Super Stock cars need to report to Buchert Park for Inspection and Impound. \nAll cars must arrive with a maximum of 4 screws holding the shells on and a new brake pad.  Cars must be built according to the latest/current All-American rules.   Please bring the shoes that you will be wearing as we will also be weighing the cars and drivers.  If there are any questions\, please contact the Race Director. \nThe race itself will be held with the use of Paddles on the road surface.  No Ramps will be used. \nIf you cannot make a certain date\, please make certain that arrangements are made prior with contact with the Race Director \nFinally\, Saturday\, June 14\, 2025\, the Portage County Local: all drivers need to arrive early as we will be closing down the road and setting up the road for the race.  We are planning on starting the race as early as possible. We will be having concessions available for purchase during the day of the race – a meal will be provided for all of our racers at no charge on race day! \nWe look forward to seeing you there!
